As a public school leader, teacher and parent, I know our public school strengths and weaknesses. I speak out for education reforms that will serve all San Diego students.

On the Board, I have championed public school reform that includes strong math, science, social studies, music, art and languages. A fiscal conservative, I vote to concentrate spending the $952 million budget on students and teachers in classrooms -- not on unaccountable consultants, outside lawyers and expensive land deals.

A Harvard graduate, I am experienced, independent, and committed to public school reform. I am no one’s rubber stamp.

"The San Diego community needs a special advocate on the School Board. I am fiscally responsible and knowledgeable about education. I expect research-based reforms and effective programs for the long-haul."
